Goa is shifting its economic narrative from a reliance on tourism and mining toward a robust industrial future. Central to this transformation is Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant’s vision for a Swayampurna Goa, which comes to life on April 23, 2026, at the Verna Industrial Estate.

Organized by the GHRDC and the Verna Industries Association, this mega job fair offers 740 direct vacancies across 14 educational streams. This initiative bridges the gap between local job seekers and top-tier corporations in pharma, engineering, and manufacturing.

Educational Inclusivity: Opportunities range from 150 ITI technical roles to specialized positions for B.Pharm, M.Pharm, and Engineering graduates. The fair also welcomes candidates from Science, Commerce, and Arts backgrounds. To ensure "Sons of the Soil" benefit, a 15-year residence certificate is mandatory. Freshers are explicitly encouraged, breaking the "experience-needed" cycle.

In a brilliant policy move, the government announced that high-performing individuals in these private roles can seek future employment with the GHRDC after one year, blending private-sector dynamism with public-sector security. Recognizing travel barriers, the state is providing free KTC bus transportation from the Titan Clock Tower to the venue. Candidates can pre-register via a digital portal available at https://labour.goa.gov.in/jobfair/ to avoid traditional recruitment chaos.

This fair is more than a recruitment drive; it is a testament to proactive governance. By aligning industrial needs with youth aspirations, the Sawant administration is securing a prosperous, self-reliant future for every Goan household.
